The backbone of RedShine's survival experience is the player-driven economy. There are no admin shops selling unlimited diamonds at fixed prices. Every transaction on this server happens between real players — and the Thrift Shop is where most of that trading takes place.

How the Thrift Shop Works

The Thrift Shop is a centralized marketplace located at the center of spawn (look for the gold sign). Here's what you can do:

  • List items for sale — Set your own price for any item in your inventory. Other players browse and buy directly.
  • Browse listings — Search by category or item type. See what's available and at what price.
  • Buy instantly — Found what you need? Buy it and it goes straight to your inventory.
  • Check price history — See what items have been selling for recently so you can price competitively.

Economy Tips

  • Rare items hold value — Diamonds, netherite, enchanted books, and rare mob drops are always in demand
  • Building materials are cheap — Stone, wood, and dirt are plentiful. Don't overprice basics.
  • Watch the market — Prices fluctuate based on supply and demand. Buy low, sell high.
  • Diversify income — Don't rely on one item. Farming, mining, mob grinding, and trading all generate gold.

Where Does Gold Come From?

Gold enters the economy through gameplay — mob drops, quest rewards, Jobs plugin earnings, and selling to other players. It leaves through rent payments, casino losses, and upgrade purchases. This cycle keeps inflation in check and makes every coin feel earned.

The economy only works because real players participate. List your items, buy what you need, and help build a thriving marketplace.
